A bold, great looking jersey design that still works today that won the La Fleche Wallonne in 1984 thanks to Kim Andersen.
Associated Bike Brand: Rossin
Whilst Kim Andersen was the big winner for the team in 1984 (La Fleche Wallonne, Tour du Limousin and the Tour de Vendee), it was John Herety`s name that surprised me on the list of riders for Coop/Hoonved. John Herety is one of the countries most prolific and well liked cycling managers in the UK who started off his careeer with the Percy Bilton team (great jersey, lots of building bricks!) in the mid 80s.
Although this exact jersey is hand made in Italy by Santini, Assos brought out a modern day replica of this jersey as part of it`s Assos Heritage Pack. Available for two seasons only, the Assos Coop jersey was sold in a gift box with a pair of matching socks and cotton cap.
