This Garmin sponsored jersey is a replica made in Italy by Santini. It`s interesting to note that Garmin sponsored this jersey before coming a more important and eventually headline sponsor of the Team Garmin-Sharp-Barracuda cycling team.

After the 2008 edition of the race, Upsolut (the race organisers) decided to stop promoting the event (due to various doping scandals) which was a huge loss to cycling in Germany. They still run the successful Vattenfall Cyclassics in Hamburg which also caters for 22,000 amateur cyclists with various events that actually help support the pro race!
