Races: Giro D'Italia
This maglia rosa was designed by the famous Italian fashion duo Dolce and Gabbana to celebrate the 100th edition of the Giro D`Italia in 2009. The jersey design featured plenty of tricoloure references and the Dolce and Gabbana logo on the collar (but it did not appear on the replica jerseys). Of course, the Centoanni was "only" the 92nd edition as the two world wars interrupted the running of the race in 1915-1918 and 1941-1945.
In November 2012, the organisers of the Giro d`Italia announced that "Balocco" (Italian biscuit company - former Juventus sponsor) would be the new title sponsor taking over from long-term sponsor EstaTHE for 2013 and 2014 editions. TuttoBicci then leaked that it would be designed by Sir Paul Smith.
