After the previous kit from Nike, British Cycling maintained a safer route with this jersey design from the sports wear giant Adidas. Made by MOA Sport (Italy) on behalf of Adidas, the basic design of the kit spanned seven years with sponsors Halfords, BikeHut, Sky and Gatorade coming and going helping make an incredible 52 World Champions. In 2009 the words "Great Britain" were dropped in favour of more Sky logos - thanks Mr Murdoch!
In January 2013, a joint press release from Adidas and British Cycling saw a radically different new jersey design for the 2013/2014 seasons.
