This jersey is most famous for being worn by the late and great Gino Bartali. Not only did he win the 1948 Tour de France, he also earned respect for his work in helping Jews who were being persecuted by the Nazis in the second world war!

Santini made a series of wool jerseys (L Guerra/Ursus, Atala/Pirelli, Bianchi/Ursus, Carpano/Coppi and this Legnano/Pirelli) to be used during the 1995 production of RAI`s `Il Grande Fausto` film that was made for TV.
