This yellow jersey is an officially licenced replica made in Italy (by Giordana for Nike) with the Discovery sponsor panel sublimated at the factory. As Nike sponsored both the team (Discovery Channel) and the race, this means it was possible for Nike to produce them for replica sales after the event - this doesn`t often happen!
I did think about not putting this jersey in the collection since Armstrong has now been stripped of his seven titles, but it is a good looking jersey and I am sure that some of the other jerseys represented here were won using some "assistance" along the way.
I actually found it on the sale rail of my local Trek dealer, purchased it at a reduced rate with the idea of putting it on eBay for profit but never got around to it. Suspect I never will now as I doubt it would sell - nevermind - serves me right to trying to profit!
