The simple yet iconic design of the Belgian National Team, this jersey is made by Santini in wool.
This jersey has been hung up in the office for a while now and I`ve been amazed at how great it looks whilst remaining a pretty simple design.
The tri-colour band of the national flag is nicely framed by the blue that is still in use today.
There is a definate answer why the Italian Team has a predominantly blue jersey, but I could find now 100% definate answer for the Belgians, although this blog site offers a plausible reason dating back to when the national teams (as opposed to trade trade teams) rode the Tour de France.
Interestingly, this jersey has no rear pockets so was no doubt used either on the track or for possibly podium presentations.
